The Thames Strategy – Kew to Chelsea is a partnership organisation which seeks to draw upon and utilise the experience and expertise of specialist individuals and organisations from many fields. Despite working closely with both statutory and non-statutory organisations and local government departments, the Strategy maintains a strictly non-political and impartial approach to its work.
The day-to-day management of Thames Strategy – Kew to Chelsea and the identification and coordination of its projects is led by the Strategy coordinator, Ruth Hutton. However, the strategic development of the Strategy is directed by a Steering Committee which is made up of representatives from the borough councils in the Kew to Chelsea sub-region as well as national and London-wide organisations.
In addition to the steering committee organisations, TSKC works on a day-to-day basis with diverse river-focused social and environmental organisations such as Walk London, Thames Discovery Programme and Thames 21 as well as local interest groups such as the Kew Society, Fulham and Hammersmith Historical Society and Thames Explorer Trust.
